Agreement

By accessing or using Summify (“the Service”), operated by Betastate Ltd, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What the Service does

Summify allows you to generate AI-powered summaries and transcripts from YouTube videos, web articles, PDFs, and voice recordings. You can organise content into Pods, search across your saved knowledge, and chat with your content using AI.

Your account

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • One person or entity per account. Sharing account credentials is not permitted.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any laws or infringe on the rights of others.
  • Submit content that you do not have the right to process (e.g. copyrighted material you do not own or have permission to use).
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs.
  • Resell, redistribute, or publicly republish generated summaries at scale without permission.
  • Use automated tools to excessively consume resources or circumvent usage limits.

Content and intellectual property

  • Your content — you retain ownership of the content you submit (URLs, files, recordings). We do not claim ownership of your inputs or the summaries generated from them.
  • AI-generated output — summaries, transcripts, and chat responses are generated by AI and provided as-is. You are free to use them for personal or professional purposes.
  • Source content — the original videos, articles, and other media you summarize remain the property of their respective owners. Summify does not grant you rights to the underlying source content.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Free accounts are subject to usage limits as described on our pricing page.
  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at contact@summify.io if you have a billing concern.

Service availability

We aim to keep Summify available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, update features, or modify the Service. We will give reasonable notice of any changes that significantly affect your use.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. AI-generated summaries and transcripts may contain errors or inaccuracies. Betastate Ltd is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your saved content will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service.
