Content you submit — YouTube URLs, web article links, uploaded PDFs, and voice recordings that you ask us to summarize or transcribe.
Generated content — summaries, transcripts, and chat interactions produced by our AI from your submitted content.
Usage data — pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns to improve the service.
Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store card details.

How we use your data

To generate summaries, transcripts, and AI-powered insights from content you submit.
To store and organise your content in Pods so you can access it later.
To enable semantic search across your saved knowledge.
To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
To improve the service and fix issues.
To send service-related communications (e.g. password resets).

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Summify:

Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
AI providers — to generate summaries, transcripts, and chat responses. Content you submit may be processed by third-party AI models. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Payment processor — to handle subscription billing securely.
Analytics — to understand usage patterns and improve the product.

Data retention

We retain your account data and saved content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data and saved content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Export your saved summaries and transcripts.
Withdraw consent for optional data processing.
