How We Got Here
In 2015, we founded Viddyoze, a video technology platform that grew to over 250,000 customers. We scaled the team to 100+ people, won the GP Bullhound Northern Tech Awards Judges' Young Entrepreneur Award in 2021, and made the Northern Tech Top 50 fastest growing businesses the same year. In May 2025, we sold Viddyoze to go all in on AI.
We acquired Summify as a YouTube summarizer. It did one thing well: paste a link, get a summary. But we saw something bigger — a platform where every piece of content you consume becomes structured, searchable knowledge that compounds over time. So we rebuilt it from the ground up.
The pain point was personal. We were drowning in content — podcasts, lectures, research papers, meeting recordings — consuming hours of material but retaining almost nothing. The ideas were good. The retention was terrible. We needed a system that could capture knowledge at scale and make it retrievable on demand.
Summify is part of the Betastate family of products. Betastate builds AI tools for operators — people who've scaled businesses, managed teams, and got tired of losing time to broken systems. We believe AI is the next industrial revolution, and we're building the tools to help people and businesses make the most of it. Summify is where knowledge lives.
The Vision
AI agents are changing how work gets done. But they have a knowledge problem. Ask an agent a question and it searches the open web — sifting through noise, ads, outdated articles, and SEO spam to find an answer. The result is generic at best, hallucinated at worst.
We're building something different. Summify turns curated human knowledge into machine-readable intelligence. When you build a pod — a collection of videos, articles, voice notes, and documents around a topic — you're not just organizing content for yourself. You're creating a knowledge base that AI agents can query directly, with answers grounded in sources you've vetted and approved.
